The Security and Emergencies Consortium has been activated this Saturday morning after being alerted to the disappearance of a ten-year-old minor who got lost while swimming in the sea with his father in Playa Blanca, the tourist town in the South of Lanzarote.
Upon receiving the alert from the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES), firefighters headed to the coast of the Hotel Timanfaya Playa.
Once at the scene, the father informed them that he was swimming in the sea with his son and that after leaving him on the shore to go with his relatives, he disappeared.
Therefore, the firefighters proceeded to carry out a sweep along the entire coast with the Local Police and several relatives, but they did not manage to locate the child.
Finally, the Local Police have reported that the minor is safe and sound.
The ten-year-old minor indicated that he got lost looking for his relatives and that he asked an adult to help him, who accompanied him to the Local Police Headquarters.
