The Tías City Council is finalizing preparations for the celebration, on May 15, of the 1st Lanzarote Job Dating Job Fair in the Plaza del Varadero, an event that will feature the participation of more than forty companies and entities related to employment and training.
The councilors of Employment and Commerce, Carmen Gloria Rodríguez and Miriam Hernández, recently held a new meeting with part of their work team with representatives of the Insular Association of Hotel and Apartment Businessmen of Lanzarote (Asolan) and Gehocan, association of human resources of the Canary Islands promoting the fair.
The manager of Gehocan, Ana Alvés, and the vice president of the association in Lanzarote, David Ayala, participated in the last meeting, who highlighted the slogan of the promotional campaign: "If I were you, I wouldn't miss it".
The first edition of the Job Dating 2024 Job Fair is planned as a meeting point for job seekers and companies or educational centers, as well as other entities such as the Canarian Employment Service (SCE) of the Government of the Canary Islands, the National University of Distance Education (Uned) and the University School of Tourism of Lanzarote, attached to the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC).
The mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz, encourages the island's companies to "join this fair to search for talent", as well as "job seekers and training or job changes to come with their curriculum and participate in the planned express interviews".
