On November 5th, the Gran Casino de Lanzarote celebrated with the Hindu community of the island of Lanzarote, one of its most original and symbolic festivals, the "Diwali" or Festival of Lights, which marks the beginning of a new year.
The festivity is celebrated between the months of October and November, during the night of the new moon, the darkness of that night is fought by lighting thousands of small candles that guide their gods to find their way.
In the Casino's halls, light and color shone, the unique decoration, the exotic aromas and the spectacular costumes, with silks and embroidery with precious stones, the valuable jewels, and a world of tradition, which turned the night into a magical fantasy of India, showing it very close and familiar.
All those present tasted a varied and exotic gastronomy, seasoned with its characteristic spices and its wide selection of vegetables, complemented with different flavors and textures of its exquisite sweets.
A party was enjoyed that celebrates the victory of good over evil and that allows all people to come together in a very special way.
After sharing joy, peace and friendship, their Goddess of Fortune "Laksmi" was asked to keep the lamp of wealth and prosperity lit, both material and spiritual, in addition to a lot of "LUCK".
